The Rambo Micklem Competition bridle is a dynamic and innovative alternative to the traditional bridle. It's design is structured carefully around the intricate anatomy of the horse's skull and achieves superior comfort by avoiding pressure on sensitive areas of the horses face, such as the facial nerves, cheekbones, the inside of the cheeks and the fragile nose bones. William Micklem, renowned trainer, breeder and author, has spent 15 years perfecting these bridles and the finished product has been hugely successful.
The Micklem bridle has an extra wide padded headpiece over the poll and extra padding across the nose, down the cheeks and over the brow band. It comes in a pack which includes a spare pair of leather bit straps, 2 pairs of bit clips, and a comprehensive brochure, including easy to follow fitting instructions. The unique removeable bit clips can be attached to the bit rings to avoid any excess pressure on the horse's tongue or bars. Bit clips can be used with both the Micklem Competition bridle and the Micklem Multi-bridle, but must be removed during most forms of competitive sport to meet with rules and regulations. Reins not included. Please refer to the Rambo Micklem Multibridle if you are looking for a bitless option.
The Rambo Micklem Bridle is approved for competition in NZEF Dressage, Showjumping and Eventing, it is also FEI approved.
