Judy Fitzsimons

I got my first pony when I was 11 years old after years of nagging to non-horsey parents!! My early riding years were spent in the pony club system getting exposed to a variety of activities including eventing, show jumping, showing and games. I then went on to work in a yard that prepared show hunters for sale to California, bred thoroughbreds and showed a team of hacks and ponies. Following that I moved to Australia for a few years, got married, returned to NZ and had a family. I then returned to showing  and had success with a lovely black thoroughbred hack "Abracadabra". I now have a Warmblood/Andalusian cross and am concentrating on dressage.

Meg Browne-Cole

I have been involved in the equine scene for almost my entire life, having my first pony at 2 years old. Since then I have made my way through pony club, riding certs and the shows/competitions that go with it. As a kid I had a love of mounted games, particularly barrel racing and Bayllendene. During my teen years I focused on Eventing and Dressage, reaching Novice 1* and Level 3 respectively before disappearing off to University. As much as I loved the thrill and challenge of competition, for me nothing could ever beat a race down Sunset Beach or a wander through the Waiuku Forest! For personal reasons I do not have a horse of my own at this point (sadly!) but I spend a lot of time with the horses within my extended family and around my community.

Elizabeth Roberts

Elizabeth has been riding since childhood across a range of disciplines and has been a part of the AMS team since early 2015. Living in Clevedon on a lifestyle block crammed with animals including three lovely horses:

Danny Boy - a retired RDA Welshie seeing out his days under the olive trees,
Scarlett – a young dressage/jumping/all-round mare currently in foal to the lovely Fugato,

Tinker (Rosewood Black Ribbons) – a partbred Gypsy Cob mare, just starting her career as a showing/trekking and possibly show hunter prospect.

Elizabeth has been riding since childhood across a range of disciplines and has been a part of the AMS team since early 2015.

Sarah Forman

Sarah has been riding since she was 4 years old, going through pony club and eventing as a young rider to 2*(now 3*) level. After a fall resulting in a year off she decided to try her hand at show hunter and show jumping and is now on the committee of the Auckland and Brookby Show Jumping groups. Sarah trained and worked as an accountant in a chartered accounting firm prior to purchasing AMS Saddlery in late 2018.
